Okasan Suzanne Logan softly clears her throat to begin
*smiles thank you all for coming tonight and thank you to Lysandra for the wonderful and appropriate pins for our hair. Welcome to each of you who wish to continue to serve Amatsu Okiya! Today we are here to remember the past months and reflect on how we vow to be better in the coming year.

[17:32]  Veritas Veloce smiles at lysandra and thinks the kanzashii are llovely
[17:32]  Lysandra Goodnight: Do itashimashite, Okasan.. it was my pleasure to give
[17:32]  Suzanne Logan looks at Jungleer and smiles warmly....
On March 30, 2007, we launched our Okiya on Amatsu Mitsukai. Most of you have heard the tale. On that day, our Hogosha Jungleer gave our opening blessing using Tao verse 67.
It is:
67. THE THREE PRECIOUS ATTRIBUTES
Those who follow the natural way are different from others in three respects.
They have great mercy and economy, and the courage not to compete.
From mercy there comes courage; from economy, generosity; and from humility, willingness to lead from behind.
It is the way of sickness to shun the merciful, and to acclaim only heroic deeds, to abandon economy, and to be selfish. They are sick, who are not humble, but try always to be first.
Only he who is compassionate can show true bravery, and in defending, show great strength.
Compassion is the means by which mankind may be guarded and saved, for heaven arms with compassion, those whom it would not see destroyed.
**that is not the version we used....but it also discusses our goals
goals of love of the other persons in our lives humility and not hurting others through pride and vain competition, moderation.... well I have been accused of not getting that one but still working on it
[17:35]  Suzanne Logan: *smiles
[17:35]  Veritas Veloce smiles

[17:35]  Suzanne Logan: Today is Shigyoshiki, ON this day, Geiko and Maiko attend a solemn ceremony wearing formal kimono and kanzashi (hair ornament) of rice ear motif. Today I will stay my vow and the vow for the okiya. I will ask our Hogosha to speak the Hogosha vow. And then I will call upon each of you to speak your vow before all of us today. The areas that are specific to our life in the geisha community include the following. 4. Helping your sisters do fun and wonderful things in SL
5. Being an example and supporting your younger sisters
6. Bringing in another and mentoring them in our Amatsu Okiya
